Receptionist AND Large Animal Assistant

The West River Veterinary Clinic is in need of a part-time or full-time receptionist AND large animal assistant, to accommodate our expanding business.  WRVC not only has great staff, facility and equipment; but we also place a high priority on a balanced work and family life.  We offer competitive wages based on experience, as well as benefits for full-time employees.  Experience is preferred but NOT required.  Benefits include a single policy health plan, life insurance, HAS, and matching retirement, as well as other additional benefits.

Receptionist position – predominately involves greeting and assisting clients and their pets, answering the phone and scheduling appointments.

Large Animal position – assistants spend the majority of their time working out in the country with livestock, operating hydraulic chutes, vaccinating cattle and assisting in day-to-day large animal operations at the clinic.

Veterinarian 

Advanced medicine in a rural environment.  The WRVC is a mixed animal practice located in Hettinger, ND.  The facility currently has 4 full time doctors and 2 part time; two mixed animal, two predominately large animal, and the part time doctors consist of a small animal only and an equine only.  Not only do we offer excellent partners with various areas of specialty, making this a great opportunity for young vets to receive mentorship,  as well as being blessed with wonderful staff.  We also place a high priority on a balanced work and family life.  The Hettinger community provides for excellent hunting and fishing, as well as an ideal location to raise a family.  Our practice is approximately 50% cow/calf (including most of the bison herds in the area), 45% small animal, and 5% other (equine, sm rum).  We are a 100% haul in clinic, except for herd work, and equally share on-call duties.  Our 12,000 sq ft clinic is equipped with cbc/chem, digital x-ray, dental machine, gas anesthesia, ultrasounds for both small and large animal, hydraulic chutes and an indoor working area for cattle, equipped with a tilt table and hydraulic hoist.  We are looking for an enthusiastic associate veterinarian to join our growing practice; benefits include: 1 week paid vacation, CE and license compensation, retirement, single health insurance, HSA, cell phone, a vehicle and partnership opportunity.  Please contact Jenna Innes at [email protected] or 701-567-4333.
