Dr. Donald Safratowich

Dr. Safratowich graduated from the University of Minnesota with his DVM in 1973. He is originally from Park Rapids, MN. He is married to Eve, and together they have two children, Heather and Bryan. They have four grandchildren, Isabelle, Jackson, Rhys and Brynn. He has one dog who is his best buddy. Dr.Don enjoys hunting, fishing, ice fishing, and spends many hours finely manicuring his lawn and trees. He looks forward to his annual elk hunting trips to Colorado and visits with his grandkids. Dr. Safratowich is a member of NDVMA, SDVMA and AVMA. His Veterinary interests lie in large animal work, especially Obstetrics and Fertility testing.

Dr. Ethan Andress

Dr. Ethan graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings in 1994. He graduated with his DVM from Iowa State University in 1997. He is married to Denise and they have two children Cassie and Alec. The family has a cat named T who loves a bird in his mouth. Ethan and Denise enjoy traveling the state following their children's sporting events. He enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, cooking and camping. His special interest is in bovine ultrasounding, but mostly just enjoys working with the local ranchers and their families. He is a member of the SDVMA (District 3 Representative), NDVMA, AVMA, Academy of Veterinary Consultants, and American Association of Bovine Practitioners. He recently finished his term as Hettinger Chamber of Commerce President and remains active within the Hettinger community.

Dr. Lisa Henderson

Dr. Henderson received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN in 1992. She received her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1997.  Dr. Henderson worked in Hobart, IN for 5 years as a small animal practitioner before moving to the Dakotas.  Now she lives on a cattle ranch in Lodgepole, SD with her husband Wade.  She has two step-sons, Jamie and Jordan.  Her pets are: Jack, a border collie/Australian shepherd cross, who is an excellent cattle dog, George, a tiger-striped cat who runs the ranch, and an indoor kitty named Elsa.

Dr. Henderson loves to read, hike, and watch movies.  She also enjoys photography and going on 4-wheeler rides, especially when there is a beautiful sunset.  Her main interest is still small animal medicine and surgery.  She really enjoys challenging medical cases and has a special interest in ultrasonography.  Dr. Henderson belongs to the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association, the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Bleaux Johnson

Dr. Bleaux Johnson received a B.S. in Animal and Range Sciences from North Dakota State University in 2004 and received his DVM from Iowa State University in 2008. He is married to Janel and they have 3 children (Treyson, Kenley, and Brinley). They have three dogs: Cohen, Ruger and Taya. Dr. Johnson enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time outdoors with friends and family. His special interests are in large animal, especially cattle production and equine medicine. Dr. Johnson belongs to NDVMA, SDVMA and AVMA.

Dr. Lindy West

Dr. West spent 3 years at North Dakota State University as an undergraduate in Microbiology before graduating from Kansas State University with her DVM in 2012. After this, she worked in Chariton, IA at a mixed animal practice. She is originally from Menoken, ND; and she and her husband, Steven, moved back to his hometown of Hettinger in late 2013, where he could pursue farming and ranching. Their young daughter, Hatti, is becoming quite interested in their blue/red heeler, Gus (who seems to handle this rather well). Dr. West's special interests are large animal medicine and surgery, particularly equine lameness, dentistry, and wellness. When not working, she enjoys team roping, riding her horse (Jester), playing with Hatti and Gus, and helping where she can on the farm. She is a member of the AVMA, NDVMA, SDVMA, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

Dr. Jenna Innes

Dr. Innes graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Agricultural Business. She recieved her DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Innes is originally from a ranch just outside of Gillette, Wy. She has three dogs, Dally, Carson, and Riggin, who attempt to be working cattle dogs, but are much better at chasing rabbits, antelope and any other moving object that they're not supposed to. She also has the occasional bum lamb or calf to keep her occupied. When she's not busy with her various animals, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing softball and about anything outdoors. Dr. Innes is a member of SDVMA, NDVMA, AVMA and American Association of Bovine Practitioners. Her veterinary interests include surgery, small ruminants (sheep and goats) and large animal reproduction and obstetrics.
